Visit Tirta Empul Temple, one of Bali’s well-known water temples, known for its sacred spring water, traditional temple architecture, and purification rituals.

Explore the temple surroundings and learn about the traditional Melukat Water Purification Ritual, which guests may choose to experience as an optional activity. The temple complex features several pools and water fountains used for different purposes. Guests who choose to experience Melukat can use the designated purification fountains, while some fountains are reserved for specific religious purposes and are not used for Melukat.

After visiting Tirta Empul, guests may also choose to enjoy a Coffee Plantation & Local Coffee Experience along the journey towards Kintamani.

Travel Tips

The Melukat experience is optional. Guests who choose to participate should follow the local temple guidance and use only the designated purification fountains.

Tirta Empul is a sacred place for the Balinese Hindu community. As part of the local tradition, female guests who are menstruating are kindly asked to be aware that the sacred temple areas are not accessible during this time.

Enjoy panoramic views of Mount Batur and Lake Batur, surrounded by the beautiful natural scenery of Kintamani.

The Kintamani Volcano viewpoint area is located along the main road in the highlands, making it a convenient stop to enjoy the scenery and take memorable photos. This is a scenic viewpoint rather than a hiking or trekking activity, so guests can simply relax, enjoy the cool highland atmosphere, and take in the views. Guests can also take a short walk around the surrounding area if they would like to explore and find a spot they enjoy.

Guests may also take a break at a recommended restaurant with a scenic mountain view, where they can enjoy lunch while relaxing and taking in the surrounding scenery. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, so guests can choose where they feel most comfortable.

Travel Tips

The view of Mount Batur and Lake Batur depends on weather and visibility. Conditions can change during the day, so the scenery may look different depending on the time of your visit.

Seasonal flies can sometimes be noticeable in Kintamani, particularly around December and January and during the rainy season. If dining outdoors, keeping food covered when not eating can help keep flies away.

Prices are per vehicle. When multiple vehicles are used, each vehicle is charged according to the selected vehicle’s tour price. The total price depends on the number and type of vehicles required.
